1960 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MKV SALOON – History: The Lincoln Continental Mark V represents the final evolution of the imposing generation of Continentals introduced in 1958. For the 1960 model year, it retained its spectacular dimensions and a typically American style, characterised by its taut lines, abundant chrome and numerous finishing touches. This large luxury saloon is powered by the 430 ci Lincoln V8 – approximately 7.0 litres – mated to an automatic gearbox. Description: This 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Saloon is offered in the condition in which it was found following a long period of storage. The bodywork is complete and generally in fairly good condition. The original paintwork is no longer in perfect condition and shows various signs of wear, scratches and imperfections. In particular, there is a dent visible on the rear left door. The numerous chrome fittings are present but show signs of oxidation. The engine bay is complete and retains its 430 ci Lincoln V8 engine as well as its main components. Superficial corrosion is visible on various metal parts, indicating a prolonged period of inactivity. The engine has not been started and no mechanical or road tests have been carried out. The original interior appears largely complete. The upholstery, trim and door panels show general wear and tear, as well as several tears and localised damage. The dashboard, instrument cluster and various controls are all still in place.
