YAMAHA XVS 1100 DRAGSTAR 1999 – History: Unveiled in 1999, the Yamaha XVS 1100 Drag Star forms part of the Japanese manufacturer’s custom range. It features a 1,063 cm³ air-cooled V-twin engine, paired with a five-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft final drive. Designed in the spirit of American cruisers, it is characterised by a low riding position, a generous wheelbase and an engine set-up that prioritises torque and smooth performance at low revs. Description: This Yamaha XVS 1100 Drag Star, first registered on 5 May 1999, has been extensively customised in a bobber style. It features a blue paint finish, a spring-mounted brown single-seat saddle, white-walled tyres, a short rear mudguard, a side number plate holder and a Vance & Hines exhaust system. The headlight and various accessories have also been modified. The overall condition is fair, with signs of wear and tear. The paintwork has a few scratches and marks, whilst the numerous chrome parts show signs of tarnish and pitting in places. The seat also shows signs of wear. The odometer reads 46,473 km; mileage not guaranteed. The chassis number JYAVM021000005673, as noted on the motorbike, matches that shown on the registration certificate. The registration document specifies type VM021, with first registration on 5 May 1999 and an administrative configuration as a single-seater. The engine has not been started and no test ride has been carried out. Its operation, as well as that of the transmission, brakes and electrical systems, has yet to be checked. A full service will be required before it can be put back on the road.
