Model history
Unveiled in 1975 in its GTB version, the Ferrari 308 heralded a new generation of Ferrari berlinettas with a rear-mid V8 engine. Designed by Pininfarina, it quickly became one of the brand’s most iconic models in the late 1970s.
The 308 GTS convertible version appeared in 1977 with its removable hardtop. From 1980, Ferrari introduced the 308 GTSi, fitted as standard with a Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection system, replacing the carburettors used on the early 308s. Ferrari clearly records the introduction of the 308 GTSi in 1980. Ferrari
The 308 GTSi is powered by a 2,927 cm³ 90° V8 engine, mounted transversely in a mid-rear position and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The original version is powered by Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection.

History and maintenance records
One of the main attractions of this example lies in the comprehensiveness of its documentation.
The vehicle comes with two comprehensive binders dedicated to its history and maintenance, containing a vast number of documents, invoices and records relating to its upkeep and the various services carried out over the years.
This collection of documents provides a detailed account of the vehicle’s history and maintenance and is of particular interest for a Ferrari of this generation.
The two ring binders will be made available to prospective buyers for inspection prior to the sale.
