There are some signs of wear visible in the cabin, particularly on certain door trim elements. Model history Unveiled in 1967, the MGC was the six-cylinder variant of the MGB. Developed as a true grand tourer, it was available as a roadster and a GT coupé. It was fitted with the BMC C-series 2,912 cm³ in-line six-cylinder engine, originally producing around 145 ch, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox, with overdrive available as an option. Whilst its silhouette remained very similar to that of the MGB, the MGC benefited from significant mechanical modifications, notably a dedicated torsion-bar front suspension, reinforced brakes and 15-inch wheels. Externally, it is distinguished in particular by its distinctive bonnet, designed to house the six-cylinder engine. The MGC’s production run was particularly short: produced between 1967 and 1969, only just over 9,000 were built, of which approximately 4,457 were MGC GTs, making it today a considerably rarer variant than the MGB from which it is derived.
