The 987 generation of the Porsche Boxster was launched in 2004, succeeding the Boxster 986. It retained the model’s characteristic architecture, with a mid-rear-mounted flat-six engine and rear-wheel drive, whilst benefiting from a refreshed design and a completely redesigned interior.
