Description
B4: Volkswagen Beetle VP, registration no. GC-276-AR, dated 1 January 1964 - engine replaced - VAT non-recoverable - classic car registration certificate
Vehicle in very good condition, restored by INITIAL COX – It has a ‘Cal (California)’ look, popular in the US in the 1970s. A lowered Beetle with a full range of extras, much sought-after by surfers of the era.
The original 1200 engine has recently been replaced with a more reliable and responsive 1600 cc unit, along with a refurbished engine bay.
Started regularly, it has only covered around 250 kilometres since fitting the new engine.
‘Cal’ look version.
€6,500 spent on very recent repairs to ensure its reliability through to mid-2024.
Fitting of a new 1600 engine with twin carburettors carried out by Initial Cox in Corbelin, a renowned tuner within the Cox family.
Runs very well; it has covered only about 300 kilometres since the engine was fitted.
