Description
1995 Xantia Break demonstration model. This pre-production model, with just 12,000 km on the clock, was converted into a demonstration vehicle which was, for a time, on display at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in La Villette. Fitted with an electronic circuit board and speakers, the car talks (see photo ‘listen to me’). When you press a button, a spotlight comes on under the bonnet (for example) to illuminate a mechanical component, and a voice provides information on the recyclability of end-of-life cars. The car hasn’t been running for a while, but everything is still in place – perfect for a fan of 1990s electronics… This is a fun car that you won’t see anywhere else. Of course, it’ll be more at home in a showroom or your garage than at a classic car meet, as it has no engine – even though it still has a clutch and pedals. The interior upholstery is in very good condition. There are a few chips in the paintwork on the windows. This vehicle does not have a registration certificate.
