The work "Big Bedroom Blonde", offered here, dating from 1997, makes the representation of feminine beauty very tangible. "I don't represent nudes for sociological, cultural or emotional reasons. My only motivation is to continue to find new ways to make exciting paintings that use the situation of the traditional nude," summarises Tom Wesselmann regarding his artistic intention.
