DEUX PENDENTIFS EN JADE Fin de la dynastie des Zhou orientaux A MOTTLED GREEN JADE OPENWORK PENDANT AND A PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE PENDANT, HUANG Late Eastern Zhou Dynasty The huang of flat arched shape, carved on both sides with a raised spiral grain pattern, terminating in a stylised dragon-head on each side, drilled with a small aperture at the top of the arch for suspension; the second pendant carved in openwork with a central dragon head circled by its sinuous body, carved with small scrolls and with areas of fine cross-hatching, the jade an olive tone with small calcified areas. The pendant: 4.7 cm (1 7/8 in.) long; the huang: 13 cm (5 1/8 in.) long (2). Provenance: The jade huang: Christie's New York, March 2004, lot 102 (part lot of three). A Dutch private collection.
