A TURQUOISE AND GOLD-INLAID BRONZE BELT HOOK
Warring States period (482–221 BC), 4th/3rd century BC
Of curved, faceted form, terminating in an animal-head hook, the surface decorated with turquoise and gold inlays forming a series of interlocking masks, the underside with a circular knop, velvet stand.
18.5 cm (7 1/4 in.) long (2).

Formerly in the collection of Louis Lemcovici (1910-2010), thence by descent in the family.
