A RARE GILT-BRONZE BOWL
Han Dynasty
Heavily cast with a flat base and deep rounded sides rising to a flat everted rim, the interior incised to the centre and around the sides with S and C-shaped scrolls, the flat everted rim with a band of chevrons, the exterior covered with a green patina.
15.5 cm (6 1/8 in.) diam.
Provenance:
Formerly in the collection of Louis Lemcovici (1910-2010), thence by descent in the family.
