STATUETTE DE DAME DE COUR EN TERRE CUITE POLYCHROME Dynastie Sui/début de la dynastie Tang A PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE OF A COURT LADY Sui/early Tang Dynasty The tall, slender figure standing elegantly with crossed arms, wearing a long robe falling in vertical pleats to the feet, the hair dressed in a high chignon, traces of red and white pigments. 30 cm (11 3/4 in.) high Provenance: Gisèle Croës, Brussels, 14 November 1980. A private collection, Brussels.
