See, for example, a very large zitan table carved around the apron and legs with an intricate openwork design of interlinked gnarled branches issuing small prunus flowers, published in Nancy Berliner (ed.), The Emperor's Private Paradise. Treasures from the Forbidden City, New Haven and London, 2010, p. 145, pl. 36 and cat.no. 33. This table was house in the Fuwangge, the Belvedere of Viewing Achievements, in the fourth courtyard of the Ningshougong (Palace of Tranquility and Longevity) in northeastern corner of the Forbidden City, ibid., pp. 118-128.
