A PAIR OF ZITAN INCENSE STANDS
19th/20th century
Each with a panelled top set within a square frame, above a narrow waist carved on each side with an openwork band of pairs of confronted dragons and plain aprons, all raised on thick legs of square section fitted with openwork corner spandrels in the form of archaistic dragons and terminating in hoof feet set into a nanmu base stretcher raised on short tabs at each corner.
