75. 75W KABUTO EN FER NATUREL (CASQUE) Japon, période Edo (1615-1868), XVIIIe siècle Constructed of eight plates riveted together, forming a tall profile, bulbous at the rear and slightly sunken at the crown, finished with a four-stage copper and brass chrysanthemum tehen kanamono and a five-stage itamono (solid-plate) shikoro with blue sugake lacing, ending in small fukigaeshi applied with printed leather and gilt-metal katabami wood-sorrel family crests, the lowest lame of the shikoro applied with printed leather, the gold-lacquer maedate formed as a Buddhist ken and a hōrin (Buddhist wheel).
