Cette médaille honore l'exploit de la Regia Aeronautica qui, pour fêter son 10ème anniversaire, a envoyé une escadrille de 24 hydravions Savoia-Marchetti S.55X de Rome à Chicago. L'arrivée a coïncidé avec l'Exposition Universelle de Chicago, intitulée A Century of Progress. MEDAGLIA ESPOSIZIONE AERONAUTICA CHICAGO ITALIA 1933. Bronze construction with high relief decoration. Ribbon present. This medal honours the achievement of the Regia Aeronautica which, for its tenth anniversary, dispatched a squadron of twenty-four Savoia-Marchetti S.55X seaplanes from Rome to Chicago. Their arrival coincided with the Chicago World’s Fair, “A Century of Progress”.
