Édition Belgo Chrom, Belgique, 1992 H84 L51 P48 cm Provenance : à compléter Proche du neuf Créé en 1992 par le designer belge Frans Van Praet pour Belgo Chrom, le modèle Sevilla se caractérise par une construction graphique associant tube métallique, tôle perforée et lignes courbes. Le dessin du dossier se prolonge sous l'assise en une enveloppe ajourée, donnant à la chaise une silhouette à la fois architecturale et légère. Le modèle témoigne du renouveau du design belge au tournant des années 1980-1990 et de la production de Belgo Chrom, éditeur belge particulièrement associé au mobilier en métal et aux recherches formelles du design postmoderne. Designed by Belgian designer Frans Van Praet for the Belgian Pavilion at the 1992 Seville Universal Exposition, the Sevilla chair is characterized by a highly graphic construction combining tubular metal, perforated sheet metal and curved lines. The backrest extends beneath the seat to form a perforated envelope, giving the chair a silhouette that is both architectural and visually light. The model reflects the innovative spirit of Belgian design at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the distinctive production of Belgo Chrom, a Belgian manufacturer particularly associated with metal furniture and postmodern design.
