The colour screenprint "Judy on blue blanket" has a particularly striking effect due to its open composition. A blonde model sits on a blue blanket, leaning on her right arm with her legs provocatively spread apart. Once again, Wesselmann omits the facial features of the figure, thereby depriving it of any individuality. He deliberately plays with clichés and thus creates an ironic and critical commentary on celebrity and sexualization in American society.
