Photo album of Nagasaki. 15 albumen prints, approx. 25,5 x 30,5 cm, mounted on cardboard, elegant ms. German captions on the mounts. - Prints collected in an album made for foreign customers. Views of Nagasaki: the bay with boats, landscapes, temples, foreign settlement, Japanese troups, Japanese students in the company of their English teacher and his son. The authors of these beautiful prints could be attributed to Felice Beato (c. 1832-1909) who produced a number of views of Nagasaki and its surroundings in 1865 or to Ueno Hikoma (1838-1904) a native of Nagasaki, among others.
