Carte nouvelle du Duché de Brabant et partie de la Hollande. 4to agenda: 25 maps (very few spots). - Rare map of Brabant, here presented as a portable theatre-of-war atlas, published for French officers toward the end of the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748), incl. 1 general map and 24 "Cartes particulières", all with hand-coloured borders. According to the Mercure de France (June 1748), this atlas was presented to King Louis XV in 1747. - Ref. Phillips (Atlases) 4050. - Tooley 367. - Prov. Félix Le Royer de la Sauvagère (1707-1782), French military engineer who was chief engineer of the citadel of Entrevau during the War of the Austrian Succession (arm. bookpl.). - J. Boileau (?)
