(occ. marg. dampst.). - First edition of this rare pocket atlas by the cleric F. de Afferden printed in Antwerp with Spanish text. Complete with a hand-coloured allegorical front. and 43 fold. maps i.e. celestial hemisphere, armilary sphere and the rare world map with the human-visaged lion (Shirley 577) with hand-coloured borders. Enriched with the world map (without title) by J. Peeters, originally published in Peeters' "L'atlas en abrégé" and also used in later ed. of this atlas (Shirley 554). - Ref.
