Photo album of Belgian missionaries in the Philippines. 8vo notebook: c. 190 silver prints (some on aristotype paper), approx. 9 x 13 cm, inserted, ms. French captions and dates in ink, some correspondance sent to the priest's family on verso. - Personal photo album of Camille Wins, a justice of the peace in Mons, containing photographs of his relatives: the priest Emile Wins, a missionary in China (1913-1927), born in Mons on 26 May 1886, who died in Mongolia on 27 May 1927. Photos of the priest in the Philippines with natives and other priests, in China with students, and of his grave in Mongolia. And Léon Wins (born in Mons on 21 June 1887, brother of Emile Wins), a priest in Anderlecht (Brussels) who stayed in England during WWI (1914-1918). In 1919, he was in Shanghai with Chinese Christians, then a missionary in the Philippines from 1922 to 1938. Photographs of his missions in Baguio, Cervantes, Kayan, Tadian, Angaki – now Quirino, Legleg, Mankayan, Bauko… Construction of schools, residences and churches. Scenes of catechism classes with children, views of the surrounding countryside, indegenous people, the funerals of Léon Wins in Baguio on 12 November 1938. March 1939, visit of Mgr Piani in Bauko. Portraits of priests: Portelange, Rhead. - Joined: Identity card and a provisional certificate of Belgian Nationality from London (1916) of Wins Léon Louis Joseph Marie.
