En[de] tgene des daer uuyt gevolght is [...]. Hierby ghevoeght dacten ende d... Sm. 4to: [28] ff. (sm. hole in the margin of f. E1, occ. min. rust spots). - First edition of one of the rarest publications issued during the Dutch Revolt under Philip II of Spain. By the Brussels Dominican Ruyskensvelt, known for his inflammatory sermons (his nickname was "the barking dog") as the leader of the opposition to Calvinism. Woodcut fleuron on title, f. C4 and last f., and initials. Various handwritten bibliographical notes on the blank endpapers, including one in pen by Th. de Jonghe, and a few others in pencil. - Ref. Unknown variant copy with the contemp. ms. correction on B2r ("aultrement" corr. in "aucunement") and the privilege in 31 lines as in the KBR and UGent copies, but without the catchword ("saulx,") in f.
