A Chinese ‘Famille Rose’ porcelain ‘lady’ statue table lamp. This lamp is made from a repurposed porcelain lady statue dating from the 18th or 19th century, with a European ormolu (gilded bronze) mount added to the base. The combination of antique porcelain with ornate bronze mounts was a common practice in 19th-century France, particularly during the Louis XV and Louis XVI revival periods.
