In-4, brown calf, ribbed spine decorated with a repeated gilt fleuron, gilt title, fillet framed in cold on the boards, red edges (pastiche binding). First edition of this important book on the practice of medicine in Egypt. The work is printed in Roman and italic type, with woodcut initials, a vignette on the title and seven woodcuts, two of which are full-page. Alpini mentions coffee for the first time in this work.
