Description
[MUSHROOMS]. PAULET (Jean-Jacques). Iconography of Mushrooms. Paris, Baillière, 1855. In-folio, green half calf, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillet (period binding). Revised edition by J.-H. Leveillé, containing 216 (of 217) engraved plates, in colour, which adorned Paulet's Traité des Champignons, published in 1790-1793, as well as a portrait-frontispiece by Paulet. The plates are numbered I to CCIV, and 12 plates bis and one ter.
Plate 139 is missing. Spine mostly faded, foxing to text leaves, more discreet to plates.
