POMPIDOU (Georges). Set of 11 programmes for presidential evenings in honour of Heads of State. 1971-1972. Including the evening offered to Brezhnev at Soeharto with cover and hors texte plate by Chagall. Description on www.alde.fr.
. Programme for the evening of 25 October 1971 given by Georges Pompidou, President of the French Republic, at the Théâtre Louis XV in the Château de Versailles, in honour of M. Léonide I. Brejnev, Secretary General of the Soviet Union. Brejnev, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, member of the Praesidium of the Supreme Soviet of the U.S.S.R. and Mrs. Brejnev (Pastorale, Webern opus V, Bhakti). In-folio of [8] pp. in Latin and Cyrillic characters, cover illustrated in colour with a decoration by André Delfau for "Concerto", two-coloured string. Complete with the large double-page hors texte plate, decoration by J. Dupont for Pastorale. Attached: a second copy lacking the cord.
