Cap and barrel in translucent blue lacquer, with a rhodium-plated 750 Au solid gold skeleton overlay inspired by the ornamental wrought-metal luggage racks of the Orient Express. Cap top adorned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl set in black onyx, enhanced with ivory lacquer inlays reminiscent of the carriages’ side stripes. Cone in solid 750 Au gold engraved with the 1930 Orient Express route, marking the height of the legendary train’s Art Deco style. Handcrafted 750 fine gold nib engraved with a bouquet of flowers in homage to the interior designer René Prou and his marquetry work created for the Orient Express. Reference MB129350. Weight: 86 g.
