BUCCELLATI Pair of Diamond Earrings A pair of exceptional earrings in 750 yellow gold, each set with a round old-cut diamond of colour H — one weighing 4.90 carats, clarity VS1, the other 4.95 carats, clarity VVS2 — each centre stone surrounded by a halo of rose-cut diamonds. The reverse features the House’s signature ‘Rigato’ texture, enhanced by a small diamond set within an ornamental motif. The Rigato, Buccellati’s signature finish, is achieved by hand-engraving hundreds of infinitely fine lines onto the surface of the gold, producing a shimmering effect reminiscent of silk or muslin. Total weight: approx. 10.79 g. Signed ‘M. Buccellati, Italy’, with a coat-of-arms hallmark. Circa 1970. Presented in their original blue Buccellati case. Accompanied by photographic reproductions of old GIA reports for the two main diamonds (original physical certificates not available). Founded in Milan in 1919 by Mario Buccellati, the house established itself in less than a generation as one of the leading names in Italian jewellery, driven by an unrivalled mastery of goldsmithing — particularly in the art of textured gold, of which the Rigato is the most iconic expression.
