Description
HEUER MONACO STEVE MCQUEEN REF. 1133B IN STAINLESS STEEL - From 1970 Reference No. 1133B Year: circa 1970 Material: Stainless steel Dimensions: 40mm Calibre: Automatic Cal. 11 Crystal: Plexiglass Bracelet: Stainless steel Accessories: Original box and service records; a copy of the *Iconic Hours* book Introduced in 1969, the Heuer Monaco ref. 1133B ranks amongst the most iconic chronographs ever produced. Distinguished by its bold square case, blue dial and left-side crown, it was one of the first automatic chronographs and the first water-resistant chronograph housed in a square case. Its cultural status was further elevated when Steve McQueen famously wore this model in the 1971 film Le Mans, cementing its place in motorsport history. Dating from 1970, this particular example features the highly sought-after blue dial and is powered by the celebrated Calibre 11 movement. Preserved in excellent overall condition and accompanied by its original box, it also features in the recent publication *Iconic Hours*, with a copy of the book supplied alongside the watch. Combining historical significance, design innovation and strong provenance, this ref. 1133B remains one of the most sought-after vintage Heuer chronographs amongst collectors.
