Introduced in 1969, the Heuer Monaco ref. 1133B stands among the most iconic chronographs ever produced. Distinguished by its bold square case, blue dial and left-side crown, it was one of the first automatic chronographs and the first water-resistant chronograph housed in a square case. Its cultural status was further elevated when Steve McQueen famously wore the reference in the 1971 film Le Mans, cementing its place in motorsport history.
Dating from 1970, the present example features the highly desirable blue dial and is powered by the celebrated Calibre 11 movement. Preserved in excellent overall condition and accompanied by its original box, it also comes from the recent publication Iconic Hours, with a copy of the book delivered together with the watch. Combining historical significance, design innovation and strong provenance, this ref. 1133B remains one of the most sought-after vintage Heuer chronographs among collectors.
