Introduced at Baselworld in 1953, the Rolex Turn-O-Graph ref. 6202 is often regarded as the forerunner of the Submariner, sharing many of the design elements that would later become hallmarks of Rolex sports watches. Its black dial, luminous hour markers, small crown and rotating graduated bezel already reflected the brand’s evolving philosophy of the tool watch. The example offered here is accompanied by an expert report from Bernardini. The dial has developed a pleasing, even patina over time, whilst the hands match the tone of the radium hour markers. Combining historical significance, originality and excellent condition, this ref. 6202 is a rare and highly collectable piece.
