One of only thirty copies printed on Holland paper, the limited issue of the first edition, with a signed handwritten dedication from the authors. It also bears the ex-libris of its notable provenance: the celebrated Lyon restaurant Léon de Lyon, owned by the Lacombe family. Paul Lacombe earned his first Michelin star in 1955, and his son, the renowned restaurateur Jean‑Paul Lacombe, secured a second in 1978, establishing the family as leading figures in French gastronomy. One of the authors, Prosper Montagné, is regarded as one of the great masters of French cuisine and a key architect of modern gastronomy, alongside Marie‑Antoine Carême and Auguste Escoffier.
