[LAWS AND DECREES / PRINTED MATERIALS] – A substantial collection of printed official texts relating to the clergy: laws, decrees, letters patent, orders, royal edicts, rulings of the Council of State, etc. (17th–19th centuries). Arranged alphabetically by religious orders and place names. Approximately 300 documents. Of particular note: the pastoral letter from the Bishop of Chambéry and Geneva (23 January 1813); a ruling by the Sovereign Council of Roussillon prohibiting the publication and use of Pope Paul V’s bull *In Coena Domini*, which pronounces the excommunication of heretics (1763).
