Rare little socio-medico-gastronomical treatise on coffee, bound with 8 memoirs on agronomy, natural sciences and experimental industry from the 18th and 19th centuries, documenting the modernisation of agriculture. Halle, C.H. Hemmerde, 1743. Factitious collection of 9 in-12 and in-8 works bound in an in-8 volume (220 x 140 mm), brown glazed half calf, smooth spine decorated with the title "Questions diverses", gilt and cold-stamped fillets and referencing with gilt numerals. 48 pages in-12. First French edition published the same year as the German original "Gedanken vom Caffee, Thee und Toback" (Reflections on coffee, tea and tobacco) by the same publisher in Halle. This rare work by Johann Gottlieb Krüger (1715-1759) offers a multidisciplinary study of coffee.
