Introduced in 2011, the Porsche 911 type 991 inaugurates a new generation of 911s that have been thoroughly modernised. Based on a completely redesigned platform, with a wheelbase stretched by 100 mm and a lightweight construction that makes extensive use of aluminium, Phase 1 stands out for its dynamic balance, driving precision and naturally-aspirated engines with direct injection.
In 2015, Porsche unveils Phase 2, a major evolution of the 991 and a real technical turning point in the history of the Carrera range. The traditional naturally-aspirated flat-sixes were replaced by a new 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine producing 370 bhp on the Carrera and 420 bhp on the Carrera S, with significantly more torque available from low revs. This evolution is accompanied by an updated electronic management system, PDK gearbox and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), as well as discreet but effective aerodynamic and styling improvements. More powerful, more efficient and even more versatile, the 991 Phase 2 nevertheless retains the emblematic rear-engined architecture that has defined the 911 for over sixty years.
Considered today as one of the most accomplished generations of the modern era, it is equally seductive for its level of performance, its renowned reliability and its ability to combine sportiness, comfort and ease of use in everyday life, making it a particularly prized benchmark in the market for contemporary sports cars.
Within the vast 911 type 991 phase 2 range, the Carrera S Cabriolet is one of the most homogeneous versions. While it uses the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six as the standard Carrera, this version benefits from a specific engine calibration that boosts power to 420 bhp and torque to 500 Nm, i.e. an extra 50 bhp and 50 Nm. It also boasts stronger brakes, larger wheels and a sportier appearance. Combined with the Cabriolet bodywork, this version offers an interesting compromise between top-level performance, versatility and open-top driving pleasure. Representative of the technical excellence achieved by Porsche on the 991 Phase 2 generation, it remains today one of the most sought-after variants by Porsche enthusiasts wishing to fully benefit from the Porsche 911 experience in both everyday and more dynamic driving.
Our Porsche 911 type 991 is a phase 2, in its Carrera S version with cabriolet bodywork. In optional Carrara White metallic (S9R), with an optional all-leather interior in black (AZ) and matching soft top, carpet, belts and dials, it benefits from a highly polished configuration. What's more, it also comes with the option of 20-inch grey RS Spyder Design wheels and Sport Design mirrors.
In addition to its stunning looks, this 991.2 Carrera S cabriolet also benefits from a host of other options, including a PDK dual-clutch gearbox, front and rear parking assistance with reversing camera, cruise control, bi-xenon lights with PDLS, Sport Chrono Plus pack, multi-function heated GT sports steering wheel, heated 14-way electric sports seats, PASM, dynamic engine suspension (PADM), sports exhaust system, and more.
This rather exceptional specification is undoubtedly explained by the fact that according to the logbook the car was delivered directly from the factory to Porsche on 7 November 2016 as the first owner, having been released beforehand the previous month, presumably for promotional operations or destined for an important personality in the brand. It was then imported into France in 2018, where it went through a number of different owners, before the current owner acquired it on a whim in early 2025 at an auction.
Clearly always well-maintained, this 911, with 77,375 km, is today in a very enviable near-new condition, albeit with a very reasonable mileage. As the accompanying service book and file attest, it has also been regularly serviced. The last service was carried out by specialist AB Motor in September 2025. Both rear tyres were replaced.
It comes with all its documentation and accessories, as well as its spare key.
This is a highly desirable example of a 911, undoubtedly destined for a bright future as a collector's item, and one to be enjoyed without moderation from this summer onwards!
