- The 850i only offered a 300 bhp 5.5-litre V12 and, given the high weight of this top-of-the-range coupé, BMW entrusted its Motorsport division with the task of preparing this noble engine. From 1992 onwards, the 850 CSi was equipped with a revised 5.6-litre, 380bhp V12, mechanical 6-speed gearbox, self-locking axle and rear-wheel steering.
- With only 1,510 CSIs produced, this coupé, in addition to its driving pleasure and feline lines, is already one of the most sought-after BMWs, especially for examples with French origins and a well-known history, and with a manual gearbox.
