Description
JAGUAR - Type XJC 6 Series II - Year 1977
Jaguar XJC Series II
Year 01/01/1977
Chassis No.: UH2J53273
Model: XJ6C
Mileage: 50,088
Registration document: in order
MOT: //
Condition: roadworthy
History:
Jaguar expanded its XJ range with this rare coupé, based on the saloon’s chassis and featuring its classic 4.2-litre engine. The aim was to cross the Atlantic to tap into the thriving US market. Every comfort is provided to meet the demands of discerning customers: Connolly leather, wood trim, an automatic gearbox, a longitudinal 6-cylinder engine, wheels with chrome hubcaps, a stunning black vinyl roof, and an almost flawless silhouette.
Equipped with this powerful engine, there were no concerns about power; developing between 170 and 186 chevaux, the car held its own with ease.
Condition:
This very fine and rare Jaguar coupé has had its bodywork and interior restored; the red leather is of very good quality and relatively new. The 6-cylinder, 4,200 cm³ engine has been serviced, but it will require an oil change and a general check-up. There are some minor leaks, typical of Jaguars; the air conditioning should be checked, and the tyres, which date from 2002 and are cracked, will need replacing.
This is an export version, recognisable by its rear wing lights and front indicator repeaters.
