1956 MORRIS MINOR – History: Unveiled in 1948 at the Earls Court Motor Show in London, the Morris Minor is one of the most iconic British cars of the post-war era. Designed under the direction of Alec Issigonis, it stood out for its modern styling, its particularly good handling for the time and its great robustness. The range underwent regular updates throughout its production run, notably incorporating several engines from BMC’s A-series. The earliest models, fitted with the 918 cm³ side-mounted engine and later the 803 cm³ OHV engine, are now the rarest versions. Produced until 1971 with over 1.6 million units built across all versions, the Morris Minor remains one of the most popular British classic cars today, thanks to its mechanical simplicity, low running costs and timeless charm.
