La voiture présentée est tout simplement exceptionnelle car elle est le premier exemplaire d’une des séries les plus limitées sur la base de la 500 Abarth : l’Opening Edition, dont seuls 200 exemplaires ont été produits. Commercialisée en 2008 pour célébrer le retour de la marque du célèbre préparateur italien, cette version était dotée d'un équipement exclusif : freins à disques perforés, roues 17", plaquettes de freins sport, ressorts spécifiques, étriers rouge, sellerie cuir, vitres teintées, volant et pommeau personnalisés, système audio sophistiqué, climatisation et une mécanique portée à 160 ch (au lieu des 135 de la version de base).
L’authenticité de cet exemplaire est rappelée par une plaque spécifique, numérotée 001 dans l’habitacle, ainsi que par une certification Abarth Classiche qui confirme sa combinaison de couleurs d’origine : Grigio 676 et intérieur Pelle Nera 402. Conservée avec soin, cette authentique pièce de collection n’a parcouru que 32 200 km depuis l’origine, et son kit de distribution vient d’être remplacé au début octobre 2026. Nous sommes en présence d’un jalon exceptionnel dans l’histoire de ce modèle qui a rencontré un véritable succès, le premier exemplaire de la première série limitée basée sur la 500 Abarth ! The car presented for sale is quite simply exceptional, as it is the very first example of one of the most limited series based on the 500 Abarth: the Opening Edition, of which only 200 were built. This version went on sale in 2008 to celebrate the return of the Abarth brand, named after the famous Italian race car builder and tuner. Its exclusive equipment included drilled brake discs, red brake callipers and sports-type pads, 17” wheels, special springs, leather upholstery, tinted glass, a customized steering wheel and gear knob, a sophisticated sound system, air-conditioning and an engine uprated to 160bhp (instead of the 135bhp of the standard version).
The authenticity of this example is borne out by a special plaque numbered 001 inside the car and by its Abarth Classiche certification, which confirms its original colour scheme: Grigio 676 with a Pelle Nera 402 interior. Carefully looked after, this true collector’s car has covered only 32,200km from new, and the timing kit was replaced at the start of October 2026. It represents an exceptional milestone in the history of this model, which proved a real success: the first example of the first limited edition based on the 500 Abarth!
