• Fully restored from the chassis upwards
• Elegant configuration
Launched in March 1963, the Citroën 2CV AZA featured several technical and aesthetic improvements over previous versions, notably an optimised 425 cm³ twin-cylinder engine and a modernised interior. This model marks a new stage in the evolution of the 2CV, with a finish suited to everyday use, prior to the introduction of later versions in the range.
The car on offer was initially acquired as a restoration project. It subsequently underwent a complete restoration, carried out from the chassis upwards.
Mechanically, the 425 cm³ twin-cylinder engine was overhauled before being refitted. The restoration also required the use of as many new parts as possible, the majority of which were sourced from the Méhari Club Cassis. All the work was carried out under the supervision of our collector’s personal mechanic.
Following this restoration, which was completed in 2017, the car joined a private collection and a private museum. Since then, it has been kept under cover and used sparingly to preserve its condition.
Today, the overall condition of this Citroën 2CV AZA bears witness to the care taken during its restoration and the attention it has received since joining the collection.
