Estimation 90 000 € - 110 000 €
Description
1989 FERRARI TESTAROSSA Registration document: French Chassis number: ZFFAA17B000082826 • An iconic model, particularly sought-after on the classic supercar market • Same owner since 2010 • Delivered new by Charles Pozzi • Service records and booklets present • Only three owners since delivery The Ferrari Testarossa remains one of the most iconic and coveted models from the Prancing Horse brand. A true symbol of the 1980s and 1990s, it combines a spectacular, instantly recognisable design with prestigious engineering: its legendary flat-12 engine. The car on offer, bearing chassis number 82826, was delivered new in August 1989 by Charles Pozzi. According to information available on Histovec, its first owner kept it until 1994, by which time the car had clocked up approximately 14,000 kilometres. The stamps confirming regular servicing also cease to appear in the service book from this period onwards. The second owner then kept the Ferrari for sixteen years, covering nearly 100,000 kilometres more at the wheel. He sold it in 2010 to its current owner, when the odometer read approximately 120,000 kilometres. Wishing to ensure the car was in reliable mechanical condition, the current owner took it to the Imola dealership in Bayonne in 2011 for a full service, which included, amongst other things, the replacement of the timing belts. Afterwards, the Testarossa was used very little before being added to its owner’s private museum in 2020. As the timing belts have not been replaced since 2010 and the car has been on display without being driven for several years, we have chosen not to start the engine. A mechanical run-in will therefore need to be carried out before the car is put back on the road. The vehicle will be sold without a roadworthiness test. Offered at an attractive estimate, this 1989 Ferrari Testarossa will appeal to enthusiasts wishing to acquire a Maranello icon in its original specification. Its French provenance, its history limited to three owners and its highly sought-after five-nut version are significant assets for enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse brand.
