[MILITARIA] Photographies du Memorial Day, mai 1954, St-Avold et Thiaucourt Lot rassemblant une 50e de photographies en noir et blanc prises lors des commémorations du Memorial Day, en mai 1954, à Saint-Avold et Thiaucourt (Grand-Est). Personnalités civiles, militaires américains, français et anciens combattants français. Cérémonies militaires, discours des notabilités, banquet réunissant les personnalités, cimetière militaire américain. Au dos d'une photo, cachet du secrétaire général (Henry Sanglier) des Anciens Officiers de Liaison près l'Armée Américaine Une autre photo portant le cachet de Pierre Dréville, photographe à Paris. Enveloppe jointe contenant de petites cartes avec des noms d'officiers présents à ces cérémonies. Sont nommés côté français : le général de brigade Jean-Jacques du Souzy (représentant officiel des autorités militaires). Côté américain : général Louis E. Cotulla (représentant du commandement américain lors de ces cérémonies), Ambassador Dillon (C. Douglas Dillon, alors ambassadeur des États-Unis en France (de 1953 à 1957), a prononcé un discours marquant lors de la cérémonie), colonel Lawson, colonel James M. Garrett Jr. (chef d'état-major du commandement des centres de communication de l'armée américaine en Europe), général Smith, général Gregory, général Cortlandt Van Rensselaer Schuyler (chef d'état-major du SHAPE, le commandement militaire de l'OTAN en Europe situé près de Paris), et honorable Frederick B. Lyon (ministre de carrière et diplomate de haut rang au département d'État des États-Unis, a prononcé le discours d'ouverture lors de la cérémonie officielle du Memorial Day).
