Si le nom Reverso évoque immédiatement Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier s’est également approprié ce principe de boîtier réversible en développant, au cours des années 1970, une interprétation aussi élégante que confidentielle : la Tank Reverso. Déclinée en versions à simple ou double cadran et principalement distribuée par Cartier Paris, ce modèle figure aujourd’hui parmi les productions vintage les plus appréciés. L’exemplaire présenté, doté d’un cadran unique signé « Cartier Paris », se distingue par sa grande pureté esthétique et demeure le plus fidèle à l’esprit originel de la montre réversible.
While the name Reverso is immediately associated with Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier also embraced the concept of the reversible case, developing its own elegant and rare interpretation during the 1970s: the Tank Reverso. Produced in both single- and double-dial configurations and primarily retailed through Cartier Paris, this model is today regarded as one of Cartier's most desirable vintage creations. The present example, featuring a single dial signed “Cartier Paris,” stands out for its remarkable aesthetic purity and remains the closest to the original spirit of the reversible watch.
RAPPORT DE CONDITION :
Mouvement opérationnel au moment de la rédaction du catalogue. Boîtier bien préservé, numérotation et signature Cartier bien préservées au dos du boîtier. Quelques micro-griffures d’usage. Boîtier numéroté 034555 au dos et 64746 à l’intérieur, lunette frappée «746 » à l’intérieur. Cadran bien préservé, mais marqué au niveau du centre avec le frottement des aiguilles (léger), 2 petits manques de matière visibles sur le cadran à 9h et 3h. Poinçon tête d’aigle.

CONDITION REPORT :
Movement running at the time of cataloguing. Well-preserved case with clearly visible case number and Cartier signature on the case back. Minor surface scratches consistent with use. Case numbered 034555 on the back and 64746 inside; bezel stamped “746” on the inside. Dial well preserved, showing slight marking at the centre caused by hand friction, along with two small losses of material visible at 3 and 9 o’clock. French assay mark.
