In-4, vélin rigide, dos lisse, tranches bleues (Reliure du XVIIe siècle). All three benefit from the editor's knowledge of actual specimens. Scaliger tried to effect a new and more consistent classifications of plants but feared the ignorant persons would try to adhere to the older descriptions » (DSB).
