Broderie souvenir Extrême Orient. Rectangle de soie bleu roy offert à un ancien marin français. Dans chaque coin se trouve un coq, un tigre et deux indochinois. Au centre, entourant la photo du marin, sont représentés huit drapeaux dont la Grande Bretagne et la France, surmontés de la mention Souvenir de la campagne en Afrique, Extrême Orient, Océan Indien, 1937 1939. En bas est également brodé le navire de transport colonial nommé Golo sur laquelle a servi Marcel Piperot. Pièce encadrée, dimensions totales 49x54cm. Far East campaign commemorative embroidery. Royal blue silk panel presented to a former French sailor. Each corner decorated with a rooster, a tiger and two Indochinese figures. At the centre surrounding the sailor’s photograph are eight national flags including those of Great Britain and France beneath the inscription Souvenir de la campagne en Afrique Extrême Orient Océan Indien 1937 1939. The lower section also bears an embroidered depiction of the colonial transport ship Golo on which Marcel Piperot served. Framed piece with overall dimensions of 49 x 54 cm.
