Assiette 1 KA DIV 24 PZ Div. En céramique. Insigne divisionnaire présent au centre de la pièce, ce type d'insigne est d'avant 1943, date à laquelle l'insigne divisionnaire change. Marquages sur le pourtour 1 Ka Div 24 Pz Div RAR1 Pz AR 89. Sans marquages fabricant visible. Diamètre 24,4 cm. A noter une certaine usure et patine de la pièce. Etat II+. La division est constituée à partir de la 1. Kavallerie-Division basée à Königsberg. Après une période d'entraînement en Prusse-Orientale, la 24e Panzerdivision stationne en France à Coëtquidan puis à Mailly-le-Camp jusqu'en février 1942. Puis elle est reformée et reconstituée dans la région de Falaise-Bernay près de Lisieux en avril 1943 autour de la Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 891. Elle sert en Normandie et en Italie, puis revient sur le front russe où elle subit de lourdes pertes autour de Kiev et du fleuve Dniepr. Faience plate of the 24th Panzer Division. The 24th Panzer Division originated from the 1st Kavallerie-Division based at Königsberg. After a training period in East Prussia, the 24th Panzer Division was stationed in France at Coëtquidan from July 1941 to April 1942. It was reconstituted in the Falaise–Bernay region near Lisieux in April 1943 around Panzergrenadier-Regiment 891. It later served in Normandy and Italy before returning to the Eastern Front where it suffered heavy losses around Kiev and the Dnieper River.
