Av. NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Tête laurée à droite, au-dessous (différent) et signature BARRE.
Rv. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Armes impériales posées sur un manteau couronné et brochant sur le sceptre et la main de justice, accostées de 100 - FRs ; au-dessous (atelier) (date) (différent).

Top Pop : semble le seul exemplaire gradé chez NGC (non reporté sur le site) ! Provient d’une vente Heritage, ANA Signature Sale 3033, 8 août 2014, n° 23226.
NGC PF 61 (3898630-005).
Frappe spéciale sur Flan bruni (PROOF) : les champs sont miroir et les reliefs légèrement mats en contraste. Tranche lisse. De petites marques de sac et légères traces de manipulation avec des micro-impacts dans les champs et sur les reliefs. De légers plats sur les hauts reliefs (sur l’arcade zygomatique, haut des feuilles de laurier, extrémité du ruban) et griffures au revers. Toutefois, un bel aspect avec l’essentiel du brillant d’origine, à peine bruni, et aucun défaut majeur. Très rare avec quelques exemplaires connus ! Superbe à Fleur de coin.

NGC PF 61 特別鋳造 鏡面フィールドにわずかにマットなレリーフがコントラストをつけたプルーフ プレーンエッジ ごくわずかなバッグマークと軽いアタリ痕、フィールドとレリーフに微細な接触痕 レリーフの高い部分(頬から耳にかけての弓状の骨の上、月桂樹の葉の上部、リボンの先端)にわずかな擦れ、裏面にスクラッチ それでも、製造時の輝きをほぼ保った全体的に美しい状態で、わずかに褐色に色づくも大きな欠陥なし 現存数枚！大変希少 極美品〜完全未使用

Obverse: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Laureate head facing right, with (mintmark) below and the signature “BARRE.”
Rev. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Imperial coat of arms resting on a crowned mantle and crossing the scepter and the hand of justice, flanked by 100 - FRs; below (mint mark) (date) (mintmaster mark).

Top Pop: appears to be the only specimen graded by NGC (not listed on the website)! From a Heritage auction, ANA Signature Sale 3033, August 8, 2014, lot no. 23226
NGC PF 61. Special strike on burnished blank (PROOF) : the fields are mirror-like and the raised details are slightly matte by contrast. Plain edge. Small bag marks and slight signs of handling with micro-impacts in the fields and on the raised details. Slight flattening on the high reliefs (on the zygomatic arch, tops of the laurel leaves, and end of the ribbon) and scratches on the reverse. However, it has a beautiful appearance with most of the original luster intact, barely toned, and no major flaws. Very rare, with only a few known examples! About uncirculated to Mint State.
