Egypt, Nubia and Ethiopia. Illustrated by one hundred stereoscopic photographs. In-4to: albumen prints, 7,2 x 14,4 cm, pasted on mounts with printed captions, signature in some images. - Francis Frith (1822-1898) was an English photographer who made three journeys in Egypt. The texts are written by Samuel Sharpe (1799–1881), who wrote several books on Egyptian history. The texts are illustrated with wood engravings by Joseph Bonomi (1796–1878), an English sculptor, artist and Egyptologist. - Joined: 2 brochures published by Negretti & Zamba, London, "Stereoscopic views in the Holy Land from negatives taken by F. Frith 1858" and "Stereoscopic views in Egypt Nubia etc from negatives taken by F. Frith 1857" (stains).
