CARÊME (Marie-Antoine, known as Antonin). Le Cuisinier parisien, ou l'art de la cuisine française au dix-neuvième siècle. Paris, Au dépôt principal, 1842. In-8, black half-basin, smooth spine decorated with romantic gilt iron (Period binding). "Third revised, corrected and enlarged edition", which would in fact be the second edition of the work, the "first edition" having never existed, except with the mention "second edition" (1828) according to Morcrette.
25 line-engraved plates, after drawings by Carême, by Normand fils, Hibon and Thiérry (title-frontispiece and 24 folding plates).
Some foxing, light marginal spotting on the last few leaves.

Handwritten bookplate and supra libris of Isidore Fleury. Binding roughly restored, several leaves restored, title page and engraved title in facsimile, many leaves browned, foxing and spotting.
